Methodology
Pricing test. Dislocation compares the instrument's move to its pre-event level and twenty-day volume distribution over the same window. The "already priced" figure is the share of the modelled reaction already observed under that test. It is a measurement, not a claim about consensus.
Scheduled versus unscheduled. Scheduled catalysts have a known release time and a priced path to compare against. Unscheduled catalysts do not, so their dislocation is measured against the pre-event level alone and is correspondingly weaker evidence.
Conditions. A catalyst is only published with at least one confirmation and one invalidation condition. Records with neither are held back, because a thesis that cannot be wrong cannot be traded.
Limits. Nothing here is a recommendation, a position, or an estimate of expected return. Dislocation is descriptive; the horizon is the window over which the description stops being informative.
